Back with a Purpose

I am back, it has been a while since I posted anything on my site (nearly three years in fact), but have decided it is time I made the effort, a lot has happened in the time since my last post, people I have known are no longer with us, others have come in to our lives and the wonder of the landscape and all it has to offer is waiting for them to explore (once some of them have started to walk that is, but the world can still be explored by crawling).

For me personally, I have had a massive change in my life in that after 42 years in Printing and publishing I was made redundant and had the choice of being semi-retired (Not many people want to invest in a 58 year old), so I now work casual in an area I love, turning a volunteering role into a job, I only wish I was able to do it years ago.

So now back to the site more images of East Anglia and more to come and sprinkling of some person notes as I prepare for a Challenge next year and help raise money for a worthwhile cause.

And now a couple of images from this year.

This First one is from January 1st and the New Bedford cut at WWT Welney, one of the best things about our region is the Sunsets can be amazing at any time of the year.

And this second image also from January, a famous scene Willy Lott’s Cottage in Flatford, East Bergholt, Suffolk,

I took this photo early one morning as I was doing a course at the Field Studies Centre in Flatford Mill, towards the end of January, a sharp frost with ice on the water, later that day we would have the first sprinkling of snow, a warning perhaps of the ‘Beast from the East’ as yet to to come and bite us all

I promise in the coming weeks to add more posts, with images from East Anglia, and perhaps one or two from further afield.

It’s good to be back
